Before we take you through a detailed step to step verification guide, you should note that for successful verification with Neteller you will need to upload some funds to your Neteller account, you will need to prepare a valid ID card, driving license or passport and check if your computer or mobile phone camera makes high quality photos. To verify your address, you have an option to upload your utility bill (less than 90 days old) or verify it with geolocation (you will receive the instructions).
Once you will go through verification, it will take around 48 hours to finish the process.
1. Upload Funds
Before verification process, you need to deposit some funds to your account. It is first verification step.
2. Create your personal security questions and enable 2FA.
3. Start Verification process through three (3) verification steps:
3. Notify Us by e-mail
To fully finish the process of registration with WikiWallet, you will have to notify our team that you have verified your account (firstname.lastname@example.org).
Before verification process, you will need to upload some funds. Otherwise, you won‘t be able to go through the verification process. As you see above, the account has a zero balance, therefore funds need to be uploaded either from the owner's bank account or from credit card account. What type of money upload is possible, you will be able to see directly within your account.
Generally, you can upload funds via:
You will be asked to choose three security questions and provide answers. Each security answer must be between 2-22 characters long and each answer must be unique. It is important that you remember them, otherwise you won‘t be able to access your account.
After filling the answers you will get the chance to activate two-step authentication. It is highly recommendable since it provides extra security. As a Neteller user, you will use a verified Google dual-phase authentication system that works by requiring the input of an additional 6-digit code to log into your account. It is automatically generated in the Google app on a mobile device. The system automatically changes the 6-digit code every few seconds, so it's virtually impossible for a third party to use the code unless it has access to your mobile device.
The verification process is made of three (3) steps: you will need to verify your account ID, your account ownership and your location. Neteller has developed special “step by step” guide, however, users might face some technical issues or even have difficulty to follow the instructions, therefore we advise you to read this manual first.
To verify your ID, it means that you will need to prove that your personal information you have provided when you registered your Neteller account to match your personal information on your valid ID card, passport or driver license.
Depending on your location, you will either have one or two options for ID verification:
Electronic verification basically means that you can submit the copy of your ID. If it is not possible, you can still use the webcam option.
Prepare your valid ID document.
You have two options:
1. Choose type of ID document
2. Provide ID number
3. Provide expiry date
Before you pick the document for verification, check that it is still valid. Further, take a snapshot of the front and the back of your ID. It is extremely important that you do it correctly. Document should be fully visible (all four corners) and readable as well.
1. Hold the document in front of the webcam, right in the center.
2. Take a snapshot of the front and the back of your ID. It is extremely important that you do it correctly. Document should be fully visible (all four corners) and readable as well.
3. Verify it and if it is ok, click Continue
Make a selfie while holding your ID document next to your face. Therefore, Neteller can compare your ID photo and your actual appearance.
Verification of your location is an additional step of the verification process. By completing this additional step, you prove that you are really present as resident in the country, you listed when you registered your Neteller account.
Sometimes it‘s done automatically, so you don’t need to do anything and the box will tick by itself.
To verify your location, you have two (2) options:
Popup window will occur asking you for permission to access your location. It is the easiest way.
If you are not present in your residence country or because of some technical issues, you can share your location by uploading the utility bill:
You might be asked to upload an additional selfie with your document next to your face. Again, you can make it with your mobile camera or webcam.
As you see on the left, all verification steps are fully completed, what you need to do now is just wait to get approval from Neteller security team. You will be notified by e-mail and it usually takes 3-5 business days.
